History of KEBS, Inc.
Larry Bryan started his Land Surveying company in March of 1979 with one employee. Steady growth in the mortgage market and land surveying allowed Mr. Bryan to add personnel and consequently offered more services to his clients. Walt Kyes formed Kyes Engineering and Associates, Inc. in 1972. Kyes Engineering was a well-respected consulting firm in the Mid-Michigan area and is responsible for designing many prominent projects around the state. Kyes Engineering’s main focus has been on private development, but also has been instrumental in the design of projects for various Cities, Townships, Drain Commissioners and Road Commissions. In 1996, Jeff Kyes obtained ownership of Kyes Engineering and continued to provide the excellent level of service expected of the firm. Jeff Kyes became Vice President and head of engineering of KEBS, Inc. at the time of the merger and continues to act in that capacity while upholding the integrity of Kyes Engineering and Bryan Land Surveying as KEBS, Inc. Since the merger, KEBS, Inc. has acquired several surveying firms that have given us a broader range of data that allows greater efficiency and accuracy. In January, 2002, KEBS, Inc. acquired Groat Land Surveying, P.C. in Marshall, Michigan, which allowed us to expand into the South Central Michigan market. Today, KEBS, Inc. is staffed with licensed Professional Surveyors and Professional Engineers, supported by personnel Certified by national examination boards. KEBS, Inc. works from two offices with locations in Haslett and Marshall, Michigan, offering our clients convenient and timely service. Service to our clients is what has gotten us to this point, and service will be the reason for our growth in the future. disciplines of Land Surveying and Civil Engineering are closely related,
both in content and philosophy. KEBS, Inc. is the culmination of the
merger of Bryan Land Surveying and Kyes Engineering, two companies who
shared a common goal in providing the highest quality service to the
Mid-Michigan community. The merger was finalized in 1998 and as a result
KEBS, Inc. has been able to offer our clients a complete range of
services.
